1:1 Sign Language Interpreter – 25/26 School Year
We’re excited to share an exclusive opportunity for the upcoming 2025–2026 school year! We’re seeking a qualified Educational Sign Language Interpreter to join the team and support students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Position Overview:
- ?? Location: Fayetteville, NC
- ?? Start Date: August 25, 2025
- ?? Schedule: Monday–Friday (no weekends or holidays)
- ? Hours: 37.5 per week
- ?? Grade Levels: Varies by school
- ?? Interview: Virtual
- ????? Student Support: Direct 1:1 communication and classroom interpretation
Requirements:
- EIPA score of 3.3 or higher (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment)
- State Board of Education Initial Sign Language Interpreter Certificate (if applicable)
- RID certification (if required by state/client)
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current CPR (if applicable)
- TB screening and health certificate (if applicable)
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
Position Summary:
As an Educational Sign Language Interpreter, you’ll play a vital role in facilitating communication between students who use sign language and their peers, teachers, and school staff. You’ll help ensure equal access to education and support student success in the classroom.
