The EKG/ECG Technician operates electrocardiograph equipment to record the electromotive variations in heart muscle actions; assists in the coding, filing, and distribution of EKG data.   Performs as a member of the cardiovascular team, obtaining ECG records of events; assists in emergency situations by initiating and/or assisting in emergency procedures prescribed by facility policies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • One (1) year of experience as an EKG Technician preferred
  • Appropriate Licensure or Certification; if required by state regulations or contract specifications
  • Current CPR if applicable
  • TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable 
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) 
  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age Compliance & Ethics Expectations
Required (Must have):

Min 1.5yrs of recent, relevant experience
Tele certification (any of the below accepted)
CCT – Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCI)
CET – Certified EKG Technician (NHA)
CET – Certified EKG Technician (ACA)
CET – Certified EKG Technician (NPS)
CMT-BC – Certified Monitor Technician (ABCM)
NRCEKG – Nationally Registered Certified EKG Technician (NAHP)
ECG-B – Certified Electrocardiogram – Basic
BLS (AHA Only)

Shift: 12hr nights (645p – 715a) (4 total needs)

Shift: 12hr days (645a – 715p) (1 need)

On-call: None
