Position Description: Medical Assistant

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Medical Assistant to assist in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Proficient telephone communication skills
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
• Familiarity with clerical functions
• Current CPR certification (if applicable)
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray (if applicable)
• Current Health Certificate (if applicable)
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program; certification preferred
• Minimum of one year of relevant experience preferred
• Relevant certification/license (if applicable)
• Must be at least 18 years of age

General Comments:

• Employment Type: Temp to Perm (Candidate will transition to internal after 6 months) ONLY
• Attendance: The client seeks candidates with excellent attendance records
• Interview: Conducted via Microsoft Teams link
• Openings: 3 Medical Assistants needed
• Education: Candidates who attended UEI for education will be rejected
• Shift: 4×10 day shift, with one Saturday per month
• Locations: Must be willing to work in all 4 clinics (Tacoma, Gig Harbor, Federal Way); schedule provided a month in advance; mileage paid for mid-day floating
• Toll: Toll fees will be reimbursed when applicable
• Drug Screening: 9-panel UDS (no THC)
• Flu Vaccine: Required, with accommodation process for religious or medical reasons
• Work Environment: Physician-owned clinics with a small company vibe and good work culture
• Experience: Pediatric or Family Medicine experience preferred; candidates without this experience will be considered if they have a bubbly, passionate attitude towards working with pediatrics (similar to CSTC)
• Start Date: ASAP

Submission Requirements:

• MUST BE OPEN TO GOING PERM ONLY
• EPIC experience in submission
• Submission Packet: Amergis cover sheet with interview availability, resume, license, skills checklist, references (supervisors from the last two positions, with questions around attendance)

Pay Package:

• Local Pay Rate: $28/hr x 40hrs = $1,120/week
• Total Weekly Paycheck Gross: $1,120/week
