$21/hr. Must be Certified in Level 1, 2, or 3.
Monday-Friday 8am-3pm
The School Aide is an individual who works with students requiring instructional, and/or behavioral assistance under the supervision of the special education department and/or supervising designee. The School Aide may also provide support services to assist students with personal, physical mobility and therapeutic care needs, as established by a rehabilitation health practitioner, social worker or other health care professional.
Minimum Requirements:
Current CPR if applicable
TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
General Comments
The Teaching Assistant position at the Aspire Center for Learning in Cheektowaga, NY, is a full-time role. This position involves assisting teachers and therapists in planning and preparing for the child’s independence, adjustment to new situations, and preparation for new areas of learning. Responsibilities also include personal hygiene care and meal feeding
The position can be certified at Level 1, 2, or 3
School hours are typically from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday
