Day to Day Duties:	providing direct services, indirect services, and any DHH teacher based evaluations needed for about 20-25 students.  (This will most likely not be a full-time position.)   -Specifics will be given in the interview process

Start & End Time:	Varies based on students they are covering for the day- flexible scheduling

The Teacher for the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing teaches deafand hard-of-hearing pupils in a classroom setting.  Instructs in academic subjects of regularcurriculum or adapted curriculum to meet needs of student population. 

Minimum Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by stateregulations
• Knowledge in Sign Language and use of amplification devicesfor the deaf and hard-of-hearing
• Experience with deaf and hard-of-hearing students preferred
• ASL proficiency exam or Certification may be required perstate, contract or district
• Current CPR if applicable 
• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable 
• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation) 
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements 
• Must be at least 18 years of age
