Overview:
We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Behavior Technician to join our team in supporting individuals with special needs. This role involves implementing educational and behavioral programs under the supervision of certified professionals. You will work closely with children and adults in home, school, and community settings to help them achieve developmental, behavioral, and academic goals.
Key Responsibilities:

Behavioral Support:
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) or other licensed professionals.
- Use Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques to teach new skills and reduce challenging behaviors.
- Collect and record accurate data on client progress and behavioral responses during sessions.

Educational Assistance:
- Support clients in achieving academic goals through structured teaching strategies.
- Assist with classroom integration and provide one-on-one or small group support as needed.
- Reinforce learning objectives and help generalize skills across environments.

Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with families, teachers, therapists, and other team members to ensure consistency in behavioral strategies.
- Participate in team meetings and provide input on client progress and challenges.
- Maintain professional and respectful communication with all stakeholders.

Client Safety & Well-being:
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment for clients at all times.
- Follow all safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Provide personal care assistance when necessary, depending on client needs.
Minimum Qualifications:

Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)

Experience:
- At least two (2) years of experience working with pediatric populations or individuals with developmental disabilities (preferred)

Certifications & Health Requirements:
- Current CPR certification (if applicable)
- Completion of TB screening via questionnaire, PPD test, or chest X-ray (if applicable)

Legal & Regulatory Compliance:
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements for behavior technician roles
- Must be at least 18 years of age
