DCBS is looking for Social Service Workers to assist with their coverage of the Jefferson Region.

This will be a temp to perm position where the contractor will be expected to transition to a state employee after 6 months.
37.5 hours/week
Candidates need to have a Bachelors or Masters degree in one of the following disciplines:
– Social Work
– Criminal Justice
– Psychology
– Sociology

The Unlicensed Social Worker/Counselor/Mental HealthClinician provides counseling to patient’s in a variety of settings includingmedical facilities, hospitals, clinics, learning centers and otherorganizations that are in need of assistance.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Licensing/Certification according to state/facility/contractrequirements
  • The Counselor may possess an Bachelor’sDegree or Master’s Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work or Criminal Justice.
  • Current CPR if applicable
  • TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable 
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation) 
  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
