Retail/Community Pharmacy Technician
At least 2 years in outpatient, retail/community – No inpatient experience please
Hours: Anywhere from 2-5 days a week, typically 8-hour shifts. From Monday through Saturday (occasional Saturday), between 8:30am-6:30pm. Dept is able to guarantee 16+ hours per week and should be able to provide a set schedule the week prior on Thursdays
*May also include some clerk duties

Top 3 Required Skills:
1. Filling of prescriptions
2. Processing of prescriptions, including insurances
3. Rules of compliance and pharmacy law

Top 3 Preferred Skills:
1. Knowledge of drug names
2. Knowledge of prescription processing, including various insurances and requirements
3. Customer service skills

Top 3- 5 Daily Responsibilities:
1. Filling of prescriptions
2. Answering telephones
3. Processing prescriptions
4. Stocking and reordering of medication, including the automated machine (which we will teach).

Minimum Education / Certifications: pharmacy technician license
Minimum Years of Experience: 1-2 years

Dress code: Scrubs – color? Any color scrubs are ok. Otherwise, professional pharmacy appropriate
Parking: Self-pay
