Behavior Technician - School Setting

Job Description: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Behavioral Technician to join our team in a school setting. The ideal candidate will work closely with students, teachers, and other staff members to support the behavioral and emotional needs of students. This role involves implementing behavior intervention plans, monitoring student progress, and collaborating with educational staff to create a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

• Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
• Monitor and record student progress and behavior.
• Provide direct support and intervention to students with behavioral challenges.
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other school staff to develop and implement strategies for improving student behavior.
• Assist in the development of individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student interactions and progress.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, or related field preferred.
• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or willingness to obtain certification.
• Experience working with children or adolescents in a school or clinical setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help students succeed.
