Amergis Staffing is currently seeking experienced and qualified Registered Nurses (RN) for a psychiatric/mental health facility in the Black Mountain, NC area. The details for these positions are as follows:
Position Description:
The Psychiatric/Mental Health (PMH) Registered Nurse, requires a wide range of nursing, psychosocial, and neurobiological expertise. PMH nurses promote well-being through prevention and education, in addition to the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health and substance use disorders. The nurse demonstrates ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner and demonstrates critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care. The PMH RN works in a variety of settings and provides comprehensive care to individuals, families, and communities when applicable.
Shift/Schedule:
- Day shift 6:45a-3:15p
- 40hr. week rotation every other weekend
- 16 week contract with 13 week renewals
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be licensed for minimum 1 year
- Must have some psychiatric experience
- Must be able to attend orientation first week M-F 8A-5P (no call outs or late arrival allowed)
- Must be able to follow red dot policy (stay up to 4 hours past shift – scheduled ahead of time)
- Must be comfortable working in a psych/crisis/detox setting which may include patients with aggressive behavior/temperament issues.
- Must be able to virtually interview
