Residential Support Professional

Amergis Healthcare has an opportunity for a residential support counselor to provide services in Chittenden County. This is an exciting temp to perm opportunity for anyone looking to make a positive change in someone’s life! 

Pay: 

$30/hour, paid weekly

Requirements:

• Experience with community based programs or residential settings/homes
• Three to four years of experience in a human services or combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skill has been acquired
• High school degree or equivalent
• Routine lifting
• Valid driver’s license, and use of a personal vehicle
• Ability to work either Saturday or Sunday
• Knowledge of medical equipment
• Committed to trauma-informed approach
• Person-centered
• Adhere to safety protocols

Schedule: 5×8 hour shifts per week, 1st and 2nd shifts 

Job Duties:

• Initiate constructive activities that address goals on a client’s Individual Support Agreement (treatment plan)
• Implement the support and crisis plans (utilizing Therapeutic Options training), in collaboration with the greater treatment team.
• Facilitate community inclusion, daily living, and skill acquisition
• Utilization of sound judgement and maintenance of clam demeanor during crisis
• Provide needed behavioral and/or mental health support
• Provide needed personal and/or medical care
• Transport residents in personal vehicle
