The Licensed School Nurse (LSN) identifies and treats health conditions among students in the school setting. The LSN provides instruction for the student’s general wellbeing and disease prevention. The Licensed School Nurse must assess the student’s physical condition in the school setting and refer the student to appropriate resources as needed to be successful in school.

Minimum Requirements:
- Current nursing license for the state in which the nurse practices
- Certification or Credential in school nursing, required
- One year prior school nursing experience required
- Pediatric experience, preferred
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
