Amergis is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide community-based care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role requires a valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (no CNA-specific duties are involved). You’ll assist with daily activities like personal care, housekeeping, recreational outings, transportation, and more. DSPs work directly with individuals either in residential settings or community-based program.
Minimum Requirements:
- Prefer one year experience as a certified nursing assistant within the last three years
- Graduate from certified nursing assistant program with subsequent documentation as a certified nursing assistant per state requirements with proof of verification as being an active certification and in good-standing
- Knowledge of medical terminology and knowledge of clerical functions
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
