AmergisHealthcare Staffing is seeking dedicated Behavioral Therapists to providebehavioral support services in a school setting. This role involves working ona variety of cases, including one-on-one and classroom support. If you arepassionate about making a positive impact on children’s lives, this position isperfect for you!
- Pay: $20-$25/hr
- EmploymentType: Full-Time and/or Part-Time
- WorkHours: Approximately 8am-3pm, Mondayto Friday
- Location: San Bernardino
KeyResponsibilities:
- Provide personal care and behavioral assistance/interventions to assigned student(s).
- Assist students with classroom activities, grooming, eating/meal preparation, and toileting.
- Support students with ambulation and transfer services.
- Manage difficult behaviors and provide crisis intervention.
- Encourage student independence and ensure their safety.
- Implement behavioral plans effectively.
- Verify changes in assignment due to client requests.
- Confirm weekly schedules with the Amergis office staff.
- Document care according to Amergis policies and procedures.
- Complete communication notes or incident logs promptly when necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
MinimumRequirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Associate’s degree in behavioral studies or related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
- Proficiency in verbal and written English.
- Current Health Certificate (if applicable).
- Valid CPR certification.
- Current TB Skin test or Chest X-ray.
- Successful completion of the company testing process.
