Program Specialist
Requirements: (Either one works)
• Master’s degree or above from an accredited college or university and 1 year of work
experience with people with an intellectual disability or autism.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and 2 years of work experience
with people with intellectual disability or autism.
• Associate’s degree or 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university and 4 years of
work experience with people with an intellectual disability or autism.
• High school diploma or GED and 6 years of work experience with people with intellectual
disability or autism.
Description: The Program Specialist leads the individual’s team to ensure full support in everyday life.
They develop and guide services needed for community inclusion and ensure all support is consumer[1]driven and reflective of the agency’s mission and values. They serve as the point person between HCSIS and assigned Consumers, ensuring ISPs are accurate, services are provided, and plans of corrections are implemented.
