 We are seeking dedicated to providing compassionate and comprehensive mental health care. We are seeking a motivated and empathetic Mental Health Technician to join our team and support our mission of improving the lives of individuals with mental health challenges.

Job Summary: The Mental Health Technician will assist in the care and treatment of patients with mental health disorders. This role involves working closely with healthcare professionals to provide therapeutic support, monitor patient progress, and ensure a safe and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation of treatment plans under the supervision of licensed mental health professionals.
  • Monitor and document patient behavior and progress.
  • Provide support during therapeutic activities and group sessions.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of patients by maintaining a clean and secure environment.
  • Respond to patient needs and crises with empathy and professionalism.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and adjust treatment plans.
  • Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and treatment options.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate’s degree in behavioral studies or related field,or equivalent experience preferred (or per facility requirements)
  • Minimum of one (1) year relevant experience preferred
  • Current CPR if applicable
  • TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable 
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation) 
  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
