Seeking Speech Language Pathologist Virtual/Hybrid

We, at Amergis Educational Services, are seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for the 2025-2026 school year. The SLP will be responsible for performing student evaluations, providing therapy services, and documenting progress in accordance with individualized plans of care and physician’s orders. This role is crucial in helping students achieve their communication goals and succeed academically.

Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – School Setting

Location: Detroit, MI

Position Type: Part-Time (2-3 days per week, possibly virtual remote and/or hybrid)

Work Hours: 25 hours per week

Compensation: $70 per hour, weekly pay

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students’ speech, language, and communication abilities.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on evaluation results and physician’s orders.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings.
  • Document therapy sessions and progress in accordance with school and state regulations.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students’ communication needs.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational plans.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Licensure in the state of assignment. MI
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred and may be required by state/contract.
  • Current CPR certification, if applicable.
  • Completion of TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray, if applicable.
  • Current health certificate as per contract or state regulation.
  • Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
