QUALIFICATIONS:
– Current license issued by the State of California as a Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) and specialty license in Mammography CRT (M) required.
– Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
– Possession of a sound working knowledge of radiologic techniques, principles, positioning, and safety.
– Ability to perform screening, diagnostic, and supplemental imaging up to and including implant exams.
– Must have strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to function in a team environment.
– Ability to carry out oral and written instructions regarding imaging procedures.
– Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, stressful situations, while maintaining a professional demeanor.
– Experience with 3D Mammography/Tomosynthesis preferred.
– Experience with Breast Biopsies and DEXA scans preferred.
– Current documentation of Basic Life Support is required.
Local rate $74/hr
*Total Travel Package = $3,377.00/week/40 hours
· Weekly Housing Allowance: $1,813.00
· Weekly Meals/Incidentals Allowance: $644.00
· Weekly Taxable Income: $920.00
*Based upon qualifying for position and allowances. Total package is inclusive of taxable wages and allowances.
The Mammography Technologist performs a variety of technical activities associated with the performance of screening and diagnostic mammography procedures. The Mammography Technologist uses specialized X-ray equipment to take images of the breast tissue and work with radiologists to interpret the results. The Mammography Technologist helps detect breast cancers early to improve the chances of successful treatment and survival.
Minimum Requirements:
- Current State License or Certificate in state where they will be working
- One (1) year of experience as a Mammography Technician preferred.
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
