Amergis Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking a highlyskilled Correctional LPT for an assignment in San Luis Obispo, CA!

1xSat-Wed 2-10:30pm 

2xFri-Tue 2-10:30pm

Duration:26 weeks

StartDate: 5/12/25

Local Pay Rate: $47/hr

 *TotalTravel Package = $2,200/week/40 hours

 

·         WeeklyHousing Allowance: $910.00

·         WeeklyMeals/Incidentals Allowance: $450.00

·         WeeklyTaxable Income: $840.00

*Based upon qualifying for position and allowances. Total packageis inclusive of taxable wages and allowances.

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Licensed Psychiatric Technician. Under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse and/orPsychiatrist/MD, the Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) ) assumes directresponsibility for administering or implementing specific therapeuticprocedures, techniques, treatments, or medications with the aim of enablingrecipients or patients to make optimal use of their therapeutic regime, theirsocial and personal resources, and their residential or inpatient care. The LPTdemonstrates ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficientmanner.  The LPT demonstrates criticalthinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care,consistently performs according to established standards and scope of practice,and is accountable for managing and assisting others in the management ofpatient care. 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Current Licensed Psychiatric Technician license for thestate in which the technician practices (LPT only)
  • Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to andfrom appropriate individuals via strong spoken, written, listening, andnonverbal communication skills
  • One year of psychiatric experience in a similar settingwithin the last three years preferred
