We are seeking a dedicated Recreational Therapist to join our team. In collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team, you will develop individualized care plans for each therapy patient and provide skilled recreational therapy services in accordance with physician orders. This role is specifically focused on working within a school environment, providing support to students with diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan Development: Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to create comprehensive care plans tailored to each student’s needs.
  • Therapeutic Services: Deliver skilled recreational therapy services to students, following physician orders and best practices.
  • School Environment: Provide therapy services within a school setting, addressing the unique needs of students.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, special education staff, and healthcare providers to ensure a cohesive approach to student care.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions, progress, and any incidents, ensuring compliance with school policies. Experience with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) is preferred.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience: At least one year of current experience in Recreation Therapy preferred, especially within a school setting.
  • Certification: Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) per state/client requirement.
