The Long Term Care RN assumesresponsibility and accountability for the delivery of care for patients in aLong Term Care and/or Assisted Living Facilities.  The nurse demonstratesability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner withsupervision, as well as critical thinking and performance abilities in thecoordination of patient care.  Additionally, this individual performsaccording to nursing standards and is accountable for managing patient care andassisting others in the management of patient care.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Supervision: Lead by example, inspiring your team to uphold the philosophy and standards.
  • Resident Care Oversight: Conduct rounds every two hours to ensure all residents’ needs are met with the highest standard of care.
  • Team Collaboration: Assess nursing priorities, communicate with staff, and ensure seamless and efficient unit performance.
  • Medication & Treatment Oversight: Ensure the effective and safe administration of medications and treatments for residents.
  • Staff & Performance Management: Monitor and evaluate nursing care and staff performance, providing guidance and feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal regulations, including HIPAA and privacy standards.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Current Registered Nurse License for the state in which the nurse practices
  • Current CPR if applicable
  • TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable 
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) 
  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
