The Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) therapist provides a range of services to individuals, families, and communities. Here are some key responsibilities and qualifications for this role:

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Assessments: Evaluate clients to determine their mental health and social service needs.
  • Develop Treatment Plans: Create individualized plans and provide therapy in one-on-one or group settings.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Work with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care.
  • Maintain Records: Keep accurate and confidential client records, documenting progress towards treatment goals.
  • Stay Informed: Keep up-to-date with best practices, laws, and regulations in social work and mental health.
  • Participate in Professional Development: Engage in supervision, team meetings, and ongoing training.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Master’s degree from a school of social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education per state/client requirements required
  • Minimum of one (1) year of social work experience in a health care environment in the last two years preferred
  • Current CPR if applicable
  • TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable 
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) 
  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
