We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher tosupport 7th and 8th grade students in achieving math goals through co-teachingwith general education teachers and providing additional, specially designedinstruction. With a manageable caseload of 14 students, you will alsocollaborate with another Special Education Teacher to deliver literacyinstruction. Utilizing prepared intervention materials, including Bridges MathIntervention, this role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impactin a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
Details:
- Location: Glendale, WI
- Compensation: $45 / Hour
- Hours: 40 / Week
- Grade Levels: Serve 7th and 8th grade math goals
- Schedule: Monday – Friday (No Nights, No Weekends, No Holidays)
- 7:30AM – 4:00PM
- Duration: Remainder of 2024-2025 School Year
- Weekly Pay
- Start: 2 weeks after offer
Requirements:
- DPI license – required
Additional:
· Co-teach math classes alongside generaleducation teachers.
o Collaborate with another special educationteacher for literacy instruction.
o Provide additional, specially designed mathinstruction.
(Utilizing Bridges Math Intervention)
The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of theSpecial Education Program Administrator provides quality services to specialeducation students, kindergarten through grade 12. The Special Education Teacher has a commitmentto team participation in planning and implementation of student programsincluding special instruction, tutorial assistance and consultation withgeneral education staff.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited universitypreferred
- Valid state teaching certificate as required by state,contract/district regulations
- Minimum of one year experience in teaching environmentpreferred
- State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard ElementaryTeaching preferred
- State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard SecondaryTeaching preferred
- State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Special Teachingpreferred
- Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
