School Aide - ASL Facilitator

We are seeking 2 dedicated and compassionate part-time ASL Facilitators/Interpreters to provide essential support to two hard-of-hearing students. One role involves working closely with a preschool student (Monday-Thursday, 8:45 AM – 11:45 AM) and the other role involves working with a 6th-grade student (Monday-Friday, 9:15 AM – 11:15 AM), ensuring their communication needs are met effectively in the classroom environment.

• Location: Whiteland, IN
• Compensation: $20 / Hour
• Hours: 15 / Week
• Grade Levels: 2 openings (1 Pre-K, 1 6th grade)
• Schedule: Monday – Friday (No Nights, No Weekends, No Holidays) 
• Duration: Remainder of 2024-2025 School Year
• Weekly Pay 
• Start: 2 weeks after offer

Additional: 

• Candidates with additional Behavioral Technician (BT) experience may have opportunities to expand their hours by supporting other schools.

The School Aide is an individual who works with studentsrequiring instructional, and/or behavioral assistance under the supervision ofthe special education department and/or supervising designee.  The School Aide may also provide supportservices to assist students with personal, physical mobility and therapeuticcare needs, as established by a rehabilitation health practitioner, socialworker or other health care professional. 

Minimum Requirements:

• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable 
• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation) 
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements 
• Must be at least 18 years of age
