The Registered Vascular Technician (RVT) will performs avariety of hemodynamic evaluations to detect obstructions as directed by aphysician or in response to previous test results, including carotid duplexultrasound imaging, arterial duplex imaging, venous duplex imaging, and dopplerultrasound, plethysmography, pressure measurements, and other methodologies toevaluate patients suspected of having peripheral vascular disease. Post evaluations, the Registered VascularTechnician provides written preliminary interpretation of test results andcommunicates to the care team.
Minimum Requirements:
- Current registration as a Registered Vascular Technician(RVT) through the American Registry of
- Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or Registered by theAmerican Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) as RegisteredVascular Technologist (RVT) or by Cardiovascular Credentialing International(CCI) as Registered Vascular Sonographer required.
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
