Behavioral Classroom Aide

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Behavioral Classroom Aide.  The Behavioral Classroom Aide provides behavioral support services in the school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement behavior intervention plans developed by BCBAs in one-on-one settings, including homes, schools, and clinics.
• Collect and record data on client progress and behavior during sessions.
• Assist with the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans.
• Provide direct support and intervention to clients to help them achieve their goals.
• Model intervention techniques for parents and caregivers to ensure consistency in behavior management.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of client sessions and progress.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay current with best practices in behavior analysis.
• Follow ethical guidelines and maintain professional standards in all interactions with clients and their families.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field preferred.
• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or willingness to obtain certification within 90 days of hire1.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in a related field is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards in all professional activities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
