Are you a compassionate and skilled Respiratory Therapist (RT) looking for a rewarding opportunity? Amergis Staffing is seeking a dedicated RT to join our team for a 3-month assignment at a pediatric clinic in Sacramento. This role offers the potential for internal hire or extension upon completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation of respiratory care plans for pediatric patients.
  • Work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care.
  • Monitor and document patient progress and respiratory status.
  • Educate patients and their families on respiratory therapies and proper use of equipment.
  • Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all patients.

Schedule:

  • 3x12s Night Shift

Under the supervision of a physician, the Respiratory Therapist provides respiratory therapy services including treatment, implementation, standardized assessment data, and documentation.

The Respiratory Therapist provides respiratory and pulmonary therapy, management, and rehabilitation under the direction of a doctor.  The Respiratory Therapist treats conditions that affect the pulmonary system and help patients who are having trouble breathing from infants to the elderly in a variety of health care settings. 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Current Respiratory Therapist Certification or Registration for the state in which he/she practices
  • One year of respiratory therapy clinical experience preferred
  • Current CPR if applicable
  • TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable 
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) 
  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age Compliance & Ethics Expectations
