School Aide

Join our team as an instructional assistant and play anintegral role in supporting a student, providing both instructional andbehavioral support while helping them thrive in and out of the classroom.

About the Role: Your responsibilities will includeassisting students with:

• Instructional and behavioral needs.
• Life skills development for kindergarten student.
• Personal care (e.g., diaper changing, potty training).
• Physical mobility and therapeutic care as established by healthcare professionals.

*Additionally, this role involves accompanying a student toa monthly swim class as part of their sensory development and comfort withwater. The swim activity is key to enriching their experience, and you’llsupport them in the water (shorts and a t-shirt are acceptable attire if aswimsuit is not preferred).

Details:

• Location: Westfield, IN
• Compensation: $19 / Hour
• Hours: 35 / Week
• Grade Levels: Kindergarten
• Schedule: Monday – Friday (No Nights, No Weekends, No Holidays) 
• Duration: Remainder of 2024-2025 School Year
• Weekly Pay 
• Start: 2 weeks after offer

Additional: 

• Experience with elementary aged students preferred
• Experience with special needs preferred
• The ideal candidate should aspire to become a SPED Teacher 

The School Aide is an individual who works with studentsrequiring instructional, and/or behavioral assistance under the supervision ofthe special education department and/or supervising designee.  The School Aide may also provide supportservices to assist students with personal, physical mobility and therapeuticcare needs, as established by a rehabilitation health practitioner, socialworker or other health care professional. 

Minimum Requirements:

• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable 
• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation) 
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements 
• Must be at least 18 years of age
