Amergis Staffing is partnered with a much-respected residential school in Springfield, MA who is currently seeking a qualified school nurse to assist them on a contractual basis.


Location: Springfield, MA

Duration: 13 weeks to start – Ongoing

Facility Type: Residential School

Schedule: Mon-Fri,15 hrs/week, 11a-2p

Start Date: ASAP

Pay: $53/hr


 
Responsibilities Include:
  • Assist in the management of the school-based Medication Administration Program, consistent with the regulations governing the administration of prescription medications in public and private schools.
  • Assist in the development and facilitation of health education classes for students.
  • Maintain student health records.
  • Oversee and perform all state-mandated programs such as immunization surveillance and screenings (vision and hearing).
  • Triage of injury, illness, or accident and provide appropriate intervention.
  • Participate with staff in developing and implementing school health curriculum programs.
Requirements:
  • Valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Massachusetts.
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in nursing.
  • A minimum of two years of employment as a Registered Nurse in child health, community health, or other relevant clinical nursing settings.
