- Baccalaureate degree in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, Nutritional Sciences, Human Nutrition, or comparable major preferred and or per state requirements.
- One year in an acute care environment preferred; experience may be waived for specific positions.
- Current BLS card.
Level II
- Level II Same as Level I
- Two years in an acute care environment with one year supervisory experience preferred; experience may be waived for specific positions
- Successful completion of coordinated program or dietetic internship of not less than 900 hours underthe supervision of a Registered Dietitian preferred
- Level I and II must pass The Company testing process
- Current BLS card
- Current physical exam per state or contract regulations.
- Current TB test or chest x-ray
- Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment teams (IDT) to meet needs of individuals
- served, and document services provided.
- Attend and participate in team meetings (staffings, evaluations, Physical Nutrition Management
- (PNM), monthly integrated reviews, cross shifts).Participate in the development and implementation of the IDT treatment plans.
- Monitor the nutritional status of assigned individuals.
- Complete assessment of individuals’ nutritional status.
- Implement appropriate nutritional plans of care, document progress and services provided.
- Complete meal and snack monitoring.
- Approve and implement diet orders.
- 15 Assist in the overall planning and implementation of nutrition services.
- Participate in the Campus Food Service (CFS) meetings.
- Participate in menu development to meet standards for general diets, the federal school lunch program, and other clinical and regulating standards.
- Develop flow sheets for therapeutic diets and recipes for meal preps.
- Write individualized therapeutic diets as needed.
- Participate in department operational activities, including planning meetings, meal service, development of food preparation standards and recipes and completion of lead worker assignments.
- Complete department opening and closing assignments.
- Develop and present staff training.
- Examples are new employee training of meal service and PNM standards, special nutrition and dysphagia plans, meal planning, sanitation.
