Amergis Educational Staffing is currently seeking dedicated Speech Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPAs) to work in our Adelanto schools. In a school setting, a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) plays a crucial role in supporting licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs). They help implement treatment plans by conducting individual or group therapy sessions tailored to students with communication disorders. SLPAs assist with screenings and assessments of students’ speech, language, and communication skills, ensuring that each student receives appropriate support. They also document students’ progress during therapy sessions, maintaining detailed records that help track improvements over time. Additionally, SLPAs prepare necessary therapy materials and equipment, ensuring sessions run smoothly. By providing hands-on support during therapy, SLPAs help students practice exercises and drills designed to enhance their speech and language abilities, contributing significantly to their academic success.
