Cross Classroom Guide (Special Education Teacher)
Location: Madison, WI
Position Start Date: ASAP
Salary/Wage: $45,000 – $55,000 per year, based on experience
Terms/Schedule: 7:30 am – 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cross Classroom Guide (Special Education Teacher) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering the development and growth of young children, particularly those with special needs. While a Birth-3 License is highly desirable, it is not a mandatory requirement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities for children aged birth to 3 years.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children.
- Monitor and assess the developmental progress of each child.
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers about their child’s progress and needs.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Provide support to students’ holistic education inside the classroom and beyond.
- Work with Student Services and Lead Guides to create a Montessori-first and Best Practices approach to Special Education interventions and lesson adaptations.
- Work with Student Services and Lead Guides to develop plans for students with exceptionalities that align with the Montessori Method.
- Communicate with Student Services, Lead Guides, and Supporting Educators regarding specific student needs, provide modifications to classroom lessons, and assist with the implementation of modified lessons, as needed.
- Collaborate with Student Services to complete and maintain all documentation and records related to the child’s file.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Experience working with young children, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Birth-3 License (preferred but not required).

- Encourage a strong sense of community within the classroom, the school, and the neighborhood
