Join Our Team as a Special Education Teacher!
Hey there! I’m Shaman, your go-to guy at Amergis Educational Services. We’re on the lookout for a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year. If you’re ready to make a difference in the lives of students from kindergarten through grade 12, keep reading!
Hours: 40 hours a week
Shift: 8am – 4:30pm
What You’ll Do:
- Provide top-notch services to special education students.
- Collaborate with our Special Education Program Administrator.
- Plan and implement student programs, including special instruction and tutorial assistance.
- Consult with general education staff to ensure the best outcomes for our students.
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred).
- Certification: Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations.
- Experience: Minimum of one year in a teaching environment (preferred).
- Special Certifications:
- Standard Elementary Teaching (preferred).
- Standard Secondary Teaching (preferred).
- Standard Special Teaching (preferred).
- Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) (preferred).
- Health & Safety: Current CPR (if applicable), TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray (if applicable), Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
- Other: Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements. Must be at least 18 years of age.

The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator provides quality services to special education students, kindergarten through grade 12. The Special Education Teacher has a commitment to team participation in planning and implementation of student programs including special instruction, tutorial assistance and consultation with general education staff.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred
- Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations
- Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred
- State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Elementary Teaching preferred
- State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Secondary Teaching preferred
