Job Title: Special Education Teacher (Visual Impairment)
Location: Pasadena, CA
Pay: $70 – $75
Job Type: Full-Time

Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher with a Visual Impairment Certificate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students who are visually impaired and will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet their unique needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement IEPs for students with visual impairments.
- Adapt and modify curriculum materials to accommodate students’ needs.
- Utilize assistive technology and other resources to support student learning.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive educational experience.
- Provide direct instruction in Braille, orientation and mobility, and other skills necessary for independence.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction as needed.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education with a Visual Impairment endorsement.
- Experience working with students who are visually impaired.
- Strong knowledge of Braille, assistive technology, and other resources for visually impaired students.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a commitment to student success.
