RN School Nurse

Modality & Specialty	RN School Nurse
Specific Skills/Qualifications Needed	– Must have a South Carolina RN license RN  -Minimum 1 year experience working as an RN. No prior school nursing is required but is helpful. Pediatric experience is a plus.

Start Date	ASAP
Length of Contract	Remainder of school year (estimated 15+ weeks)
Shift	Days M-F – School Hours  Vary based on ES, MS or HS placements
Hours/Week?	37.5

The School Nurse assumesresponsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing processand the delivery of student/client care and/or contracted services in a schoolsetting. The School Nurse may also be in a supervisory position within the contractedservices. The School Nurse provides services in accordance with Amergis Healthcare’s philosophy, standards, policies and physician orders.

 Minimum Requirements:

• Graduate of an accreditedregistered, practical or vocational nursing program
• Licensed as a LicensedPractical, Licensed Vocational or Registered Nurse in state(s) where practicing
• One year of professionalexperience, preferred
• Current CPR
• PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (percontract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state andlocal requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
