Travel ESN Special Education Teacher - Santa Barbara, CA

The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator provides quality services to special education students, kindergarten through grade 12.  The Special Education Teacher has a commitment to team participation in planning and implementation of student programs including special instruction, tutorial assistance and consultation with general education staff.  

Job Details: 

• Location: Santa Barbara, California 
• Start date: ASAP or August 2025
• Assignments available for 25/26 school year
• Assistant with finding housing offered
• Housing and meal stipends included
• Age groups: Elementary, preschool, junior high, or high school 
• 37.5hrs/week
• Pay: $3,670 weekly gross income ($1,945/weekly in stipends and $1,725/weekly in taxable wages)
• Will accept out of state extensive support needs SPED credential, must be willing to apply for CA credential
• Reimbursement for applicant fees offered

Minimum Requirements:  

• Extensive support needs credential (also known as moderate/severe credential) is required
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred 
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations 
• Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred 
• California Teaching Credential; Type: Extensive Support Needs or Moderate/Severe SPED Credential Required
• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred
• Current CPR if applicable 
• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable 
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) 
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements 
• Must be at least 18 years of age
