RN 1.1 School

The 1:1 School Registered Nurse (RN) oversees the application of the nursing process and the delivery of student care in a school setting.  The School RN provides services in accordance with District and Amergis Healthcare’s philosophy, standards, policies and physician orders.  

Minimum Requirements:  

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in state(s) where practicing  
• One year of school nursing experience, preferred  
• Pediatric experience, preferred  
• Current CPR if applicable 
• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable  
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)  
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements  
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Start Date: ASAP

Grade Level: High School

Caseload Details: 1:1 Nurse- Female student

Start/End Date: 8:30am

Start/End time: 3:30pm

Breaks paid/unpaid: 30 min unpaid break

Busing: No busing- straight to school assignment

Services: working 1:1 with a student who is quadriplegic, and has a gtube, also takes medication 2 times a day Lifting will be required and student is 77lbs Also recently had a hip dislocation, so lifting carefully will be important
