The High School Athletic Trainer will be responsible for providing comprehensive athletic training services to student-athletes. This includes injury prevention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation. The ideal candidate will work closely with coaches, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safety and optimal performance of our athletes.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement injury prevention programs.
Provide immediate care for athletic injuries and illnesses.
Conduct injury evaluations and create treatment plans.
Oversee rehabilitation programs for injured athletes.
Maintain accurate records of injuries, treatments, and progress.
Collaborate with coaches to ensure athletes are fit for competition.
Educate athletes on proper techniques and nutrition to prevent injuries.
Stay updated with the latest research and techniques in sports medicine.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training, Sports Medicine, or a related field.
Certification by the Board of Certification (BOC) for Athletic Trainers.
State licensure or eligibility for licensure in North Carolina.
CPR and First Aid certification.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in a related field.
Previous experience working with high school athletes.
Knowledge of current trends in athletic training and sports medicine.
