LMFT/LCSW

The LMFT/LCSW provides professionalcounseling services designed in assisting participants in behavior change tomaintain a healthy lifestyle and quality of life through individual and grouptherapy.

Job Details:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides professional counseling services topatients/clients and their families
• May counsel and teach behavior change, stress management,and other program classes, which assist the participants in achievingprescribed objectives
• Administers, interprets, and assesses the results of relatedprogram-administered assessment tests
• Assists with the development of mind/body programming intowellness programs, i.e. cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, weight management
• Provides education to patients and families related toissues that impact patient/client care
• Conducts lectures and participates in community outreachactivities
• Identifies concerns and makes referrals to other specialistswhen needed
• Provides guidance and coaching to staff members working withclients as needed
• Adheres to all Amergis and worksite rules, policies andprocedures
• Performs other duties as assigned/necessary

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work orrelated field preferred
• Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling or Social Work,Family Therapy preferred
• Licensed as a Professional Counselor, Marriage and FamilyTherapist (LMFT) as required by state regulations and/or contractspecifications
• One (1) year of experience in counseling preferred
• Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice 
• Participation and completion of Amergis’ Competency programwhen applicable
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable 
• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation) 
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements 
• Successful completion of new hire training as applicable tojob site 
• Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAArequirements  
• Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to andfrom appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors,co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in theEnglish language is required  
• Computer proficiency required 
• Must be at least 18 years of age
