Amergis Staffing is currently seeking ACSW/MFTA for the 2024/2025 school year in the Santa Maria, CA & surrounding areas 

 

Position Details: 


Start Date: Upon completion of onboarding

Hours Per Week: 40 hours

Length: 2024/2025 School Year

Requirements: Prior experience working with children or as a caregiver is required. School Aide/Para duties as assigned. Must be comfortable with toileting and changing.

The Unlicensed Social Worker/Counselor/Mental HealthClinician provides counseling to patient’s in a variety of settings includingmedical facilities, hospitals, clinics, learning centers and otherorganizations that are in need of assistance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides necessary counseling as required for thepatient/client
  • Assesses the patient/clients’ psychosocial needs, andevaluate the progress with the care team and/or supervisor
  • Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and evaluate goalsfor each patient/client
  • Focuses on assisting patients/clients through the dischargeprocess of both in and out-patient treatment facilities as applicable
  • Utilizes a variety of therapy techniques and treatment plans
  • Facilitates patient progress and referrals with otheragencies
  • Adheres to all Amergis and Facility policies andprocedures 
  • Observes and reports patient/client progress per facilityprotocol
  • Performs other duties as assigned/necessary

Minimum Requirements:

  • Licensing/Certification according to state/facility/contractrequirements
  • The Counselor may possess an Associate’s Degree, Bachelor’sDegree or Master’s Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Counseling,Nursing or other Human Development Major
  • Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice 
  • Participation and completion of Amergis’ Competency programwhen applicable
  • Current CPR if applicable
  • TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable 
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation) 
  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements 
  • Successful completion of new hire training as applicable tojob site 
  • Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAArequirements  
  • Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to andfrom appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors,co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in theEnglish language is required  
  • Computer proficiency required 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
