BT – Behavioral Technicians/Interventionists – School Setting – California

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking Behavioral

 Technicians/Interventionists who are (ABA/CPI/MAB) trained, and willing tocommit to a Stationary, full-time Floater, or Fill-in role. Chosencandidates will be placed on an long-term case or asked to help in differentclassrooms to build experience and be evaluated for the perfect situation.This is for working one-on-one with a student or multiple children withspecial needs in the school setting – current class sessions still aim toensure COVID protocols and social distancing. ABA therapists will be followingthe student’s Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) designed and maintained by aProgram Supervisor and gather the data necessary for the Program Supervisor toevaluate the effectiveness of the behavior plan in achieving identified goalsand objectives for each student. We cannot guarantee RBT Supervision hours.

Key Details:

•             Schedule:Monday – Friday

•             TypicalHours: 8:00am – 3:30pm – [4+ hrs 5hrs, 6hrs, and 7hrs shifts]

•             PayRate: $21 – $25 Dep. On Expr. (ABA training., Bathroom assist, CPI cert.)

•             Raises given to consistent topperformers!

•             Weeklypaychecks

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follows the instructions of the BCBA/program supervisor/teacher
  • Provides behavior assistance/interventions to assigned clients
  • Performs ABA related teaching strategies
  • Review and implement behavioral goals found within IEPs
  • Assist students in the development of independent skills through self-care activities.
  • Implement behavior management techniques in accordance with the directions given by the supervising teacher, including reinforcing appropriate behaviors in accordance with the teachers plan and supervising the student during these behavior management techniques

MinimumRequirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • If you are a Registered or Certified BT please provide a Board/State Certification/Licensure (as applicable per state and/or client requirements)
  • One (1) to Two (2) years or more of relevant experience preferred, at least 6 months required.
  • Current/Updated CPR certification
  • Current PPD or Chest X-Ray (as applicable per state and/or client requirement)
  • Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills
