Speech Language Pathologist needed in Tacoma for the 24/25 school year! Work with a great team of educational professionals and make a big change in little lives! 

  • Length: Entirety of the 24/25 school year
  • Pay: $50 per hour
  • Hours: 32.5 hours per week
  • Setting: in person preferred

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assesses students’ communication skills for the purpose of identifying communication disorders, determining program eligibility and developing recommendations for treatment
  • Collaborates with a variety of groups and/or individuals
  • Coordinates meetings and processes for eligible students for the purpose of presenting evaluation results, developing treatment plans, and/or providing training to parents/students/staff
  • Develops treatment plans, interventions and/or educational materials
  • Instructs eligible students in the use of appropriate communication technologies  
  • Provides speech and language therapy to students for the purpose of minimizing the adverse impact of speech and language disorders on student success
  • Seeks appropriate in-service and professional development 
  • Performs other duties as assigned/necessary

Minimum Requirements:

  • Active Speech Language Pathologist Licensure in the state of WA
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred and may be required by state/contract. 
  • Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice 
  • Participation and completion of Amergis’ Competency program when applicable
  • Current CPR if applicable
  • Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements   
  • Communicate effectively with staff, administration, parents, and any other’s involved in students’ education  
  • Computer proficiency required 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
