Behavioral Tech work description:

Behavior Technicians are responsible for assisting Behavior Analysts to implement behavior reduction and skill acquisition through treatment plans. Your day to day consists of working 1-1 with children to increase speech, language, communication, social, play, cognitive, and daily living skills while also focusing on decreasing problem behaviors and barriers to learning.

Responsibilities

·        Provide direct care to children with Autism and related disorders in a one-on-one therapy setting to implement behavior plans as instructed by the Behavior Analyst

·        Gather quantifiable behavioral data necessary and any progress towards goal for the Behavior Analysts to improve the efficacy of the care plan.

·        Provide behavioral support to reduce challenging behaviors

·        Maintain strict confidentiality

 

Qualifications & Skills

·        Eager, energetic, and passionate!

·        Must be at least 18 years of age

·        Experience working with children and/or similar field (experience working with children with special needs is highly preferred)

·        Current CPR certification

·        Good written and verbal communication skills

·        Strong interpersonal skills
