Job Title: Mild/Moderate Special Education Teacher

Pay rate: $55+ an hour *Negotiable depending on experience*

About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Special Education Teacher to join our team in Cerritos, supporting students from kindergarten through 12th grade. Under the guidance of the Special Education Program Administrator, you’ll provide high-quality instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs. This role emphasizes collaboration with general education staff and other specialists to ensure every student receives the tools and attention they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

– Deliver individualized and group instruction aligned with students’ IEP goals

– Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to support student success

– Provide tutorial assistance and behavioral support as needed

– Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to program planning

– Maintain accurate records and comply with all federal, state, and district regulations

– Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

Minimum Requirements:

– Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred)

– Valid California teaching credential (required)

  – Standard Elementary, Secondary, or Special Teaching Certification (preferred)

  – Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) endorsement (preferred)

– Minimum of one year of teaching experience (preferred)

– Current CPR certification
