Amergis Staffing is currently seeking both TRAVEL andLocal experienced RN Psych nurses in Black Mountain, NC!

Position: RN Psych

Shifts available:

·       DaysX2 RN 6:45a-7:15p, 36, EOW

·       NightsX3 RN 6:45 P – 7:15A, 36, EOW

Contract Length: 16 wks

Number of Openings: 5

Start Date: 12/1 or 12/15

Facility Info:

  JFK is one of two alcohol and drug abusetreatment facilities in North Carolina operated by the NC Department of Healthand Human Services. It currently provides inpatient and outpatient services,including medical detox, psychiatric stabilization, substance use disorder andmental health treatment using best practice standards — including MotivationalInterviewing, Trauma-Informed Care and “Seeking Safety.”

**Substance Abuse Facility, beautiful scenery, smallcampus, family orientated staff, great management and upper leadership**

******Please Note: IF HCP has LIVED OUTSIDE of NC withinthe past 5 years- they will need fingerprints. These usually take about 4-6weeks to get back.*******

 

The Psychiatric/Mental Health (PMH) Registered Nurse,requires a wide range of nursing, psychosocial, and neurobiological expertise.PMH nurses promote well-being through prevention and education, in addition tothe assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health and substance usedisorders.  The nurse demonstratesability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner anddemonstrates critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination ofpatient care.  The PMH RN works in avariety of settings and provides comprehensive care to individuals, families,and communities when applicable. 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Current Registered Nurse Licensure in-state practicing
  • Current CPR if applicable
  • TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable 
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation) 
  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements  
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
