Position: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: Pasadena Unified School District
Type: School-Based | Full-Time

What You’ll Do:
As a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in helping students overcome speech, language, and communication challenges. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive evaluations to assess speech, language, voice, fluency, and communication needs of students.
- Developing individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other school staff.
- Providing direct therapy services to students in both individual and group settings, tailored to their unique goals and needs.
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure effective outcomes.
- Documenting all services provided in accordance with district, state, and federal guidelines.
- Participating in IEP meetings and contributing to multidisciplinary team discussions.
- Educating and supporting school staff and families on communication disorders and strategies for classroom success.
- Maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations, licensure requirements, and professional standards.
Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Licensure in the state of California
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred (may be required by contract)
- School-based experience strongly preferred
- Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
- Knowledge of evidence-based therapy techniques and current best practices
- Current CPR certification, if applicable
- TB screening (PPD or chest x-ray), if applicable
- Current health certificate, per contract or state regulation
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
