Job Title: Interrelated Special Education Teacher
Start Date: November 17, 2025
Duration: 7 months
Work Hours: Full-time (40 hours/week)

Job Description:
Gaines Elementary School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Interrelated Special Education Teacher to join our team. Under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, the teacher will provide high-quality services to students in grades K–12 with diverse learning needs. This role involves collaboration with general education staff to plan and implement individualized programs, including specialized instruction, tutorial support, and consultation.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group instruction aligned with IEP goals
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff
  • Monitor and document student progress
  • Participate in IEP meetings and parent conferences
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and district regulations

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)
  • Valid state teaching certificate as required by state/district regulations
  • At least one year of teaching experience (preferred)
  • Certification Types (preferred):
    • Standard Elementary Teaching
    • Standard Secondary Teaching
    • Standard Special Teaching
  • Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) (preferred)
  • Current CPR certification (if applicable)
