?Post Partum Registered Nurse – Contract Opportunity

Location: Cambridge, MA
Start Date: ASAP?
Duration: 13 weeks (with likelihood of extension)
Shift: 36 Hours/Wk. – Day/Night Rotation
Misc: Blocked scheduling not allowed at this time

Pay Rate: Up to $2,670.00/Wk.

About the Role:

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced Postpartum RN to provide exceptional care to mothers and newborns during the recovery period following childbirth. This role focuses on patient education, emotional support, and clinical expertise to ensure safe and smooth transitions for families.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Monitor maternal vital signs and assess recovery following delivery.

·        Provide newborn care, including feeding support and education.

·        Administer medications and manage pain control for postpartum patients.

·        Educate patients and families on postpartum care, breastfeeding, and newborn safety.

·        Respond to postpartum complications and escalate care as needed.

·        Document all assessments and interventions accurately in EMR systems.

·        Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians, and lactation consultants for comprehensive care.

Qualifications:

  • Active MA RN license (required at submission).
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Postpartum or Mother-Baby experience.
  • BLS (required)
  • NRP (Preferred)
