The Mammography Technologist performs a variety of technicalactivities associated with the performance of screening and diagnosticmammography procedures. The MammographyTechnologist uses specialized X-ray equipment to take images of the breasttissue and work with radiologists to interpret the results. The Mammography Technologist helps detectbreast cancers early to improve the chances of successful treatment andsurvival.
Minimum Requirements:
- Current State License or Certificate in state where theywill be working
- One (1) year of experience as a Mammography Technician preferred.
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Hologic experience
· ARRT(M)
· MAstate radiation control license by start date
· Mustbe comfortable working independently (4+ years of experience preferred)
· 2Dand 3D experience
o Must be able to provide documentation ofat least 8 hours of training on both by start date
· Diagnosticexperience on top of screening experience – will be doing both
· Musthave documentation of CEUs going back three years to present by start date
· COVIDvaccine preferred but not required
o Declination accepted but must wear maskduring flu season if so
