Educational Sign Language Interpreter | $45/hr | High School | Nov 2025–May 2026 | Jenks, OK

Amergis Educational Staffing is hiring a full-time Educational Sign Language Interpreter to support a high school student in Jenks, Oklahoma. This 1:1 role begins November 10, 2025, and runs through May 15, 2026, with 37 hours per week.

Position Overview:

• Modality: ASL Interpreter

• Grade Level: High School

• Support Type: 1:1 student support with classroom collaboration

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7 hours/day

• Duration: 6 months

• Start Date: November 10, 2025

• Interview: Virtual or in-person

• Pay Rate: $45/hr

• Campus: Assigned based on experience and candidate preference

Responsibilities:

• Interpret all classroom interactions, materials, and assessments using ASL

• Collaborate on IEP/504 development and implementation

• Support curriculum accessibility and maintain student records

• Prepare for sessions by reviewing materials and participating in ongoing training

• Adhere to RID/NAD Code of Conduct and NAIE Educational Interpreter Code of Ethics

Requirements:

• ASL proficiency (EIPA 3.5+ or equivalent)

• Completed interpreter training program

• Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years in deaf education/interpreting

• Certification: RID, NAD Level IV+, QAST Level III+, or Signed Exact English Level 3.5+

• CPR, TB clearance, and health certificate as applicable

• Must meet all district, state, and federal requirements
